I have enjoyed Stray Cats ( formed in 1979 ) as a fourteen year old. I wasn't interested at age eleven. It took some time for me to really like Stray Cats. They were on the radio a lot. I liked the english sound at the time.
Brian Setzer Orchestra ( formed in 1990 ) is going on a summer 2009 tour. Setzer is heavily influenced by Bill Haley & the Comets. Brian had grown up playing the baritone horn in school. Being around music has paid off for Brian.
Brian Setzer Orchestra will be on a twenty four city seventh Christmas Tour. This sounds like a killer idea. May not want to miss the Christmas Tour 2009 either.
My Great-Grandfather played the Trumpet with the "Glen Miller Orchestra." I don't play any insruments. My Mother God bless her :-)
After my father passed in May 1981. Mom offered me a Double Base Perel kit. It was a harsh winter and I was lifting weights. It was a lot of money and we had to drive 10 miles over Jonestown Pa mountain. "That mountian road freaks me out." I turned Mom down.
Today I enjoy music and want to spread the fun to all ;)
