David Byrne at Bristol's Colston Hall.

David Byrne

David Byrne is on tour with his band having just released Everything That Happens Will Happen Today, his first collaboration with Brian Eno since 1981. This show is at Bristol's Colston Hall.

David Byrne and Brian Eno collaborated on three Talking Heads albums in the late Seventies and in 1981 together recorded the seminal release, My Life In the Bush of Ghosts. Edgy and experimental, the album featured sampling before the term had been invented and went on to be hugely influential.

The new release features music by Brian Eno and lyrics and gospel-inspired vocals by David Byrne. The tour, billed as Songs of David Byrne and Brian Eno, features material from all of the duo's collaborations. Eno does not perform, but Byrne leads a five-piece band supported by backing vocalists and dancers.
